February 2026

Warehouse Optimization for Databricks (Preview)

New Features and Enhancements

  • New Settings UI — The Keebo portal now supports managing Databricks warehouses and workspaces directly. The new settings page includes modals for adding workspaces and warehouses, per-warehouse enable/disable toggles, optimization aggressiveness sliders, sortable and paginated warehouse lists, and icons indicating active optimizers on each warehouse.

Addressed Issues and Bug Fixes

  • Savings and Cost Calculation Bug — Fixed a bug where savings and costs were not correctly calculated for workspaces with no attached warehouses.
  • Time Range Grouping Bug — Fixed a misalignment issue in savings charts caused by missing historical data, which produced incorrect date ranges for weekly and monthly grouping.

January 2025

Warehouse Optimization for Snowflake and Databricks

  • Overview Dashboard for Databricks — Warehouse Optimization for Databricks now includes a user interface. The first page released is the overview page, which shows spending on Databricks and savings with Keebo for each warehouse.
  • Read-Only Settings Page for Databricks — Warehouse Optimization for Databricks now includes a read-only settings page displaying the settings applied to each warehouse. Contact Keebo support to change these settings.
  • Performance Guardrails — New performance guardrails are now default and have been released to all customers and active trials.

December 2025

Warehouse Optimization for Snowflake and Databricks

  • Improved Filters — A search bar now appears for all filters with more than five options. This is especially helpful when an organization has hundreds of warehouses.
  • Cut-Off Warehouse Name Bug — Fixed a bug where long warehouse names were cut off in filter lists. Filter options now expand to match the longest warehouse name.
  • Performance Guardrails Bug — Fixed an issue where performance guardrails did not exist if a custom value was not set. All new warehouses now have an initial guardrail value.
  • Filter Selection Bug — The select/deselect all selector now applies only to items matching the current search criteria.
  • Databricks Downsizing Bug — Fixed an issue where all Databricks downsizing events were followed by a backoff 15 minutes later.

November 2025

Warehouse Optimization for Snowflake

  • Improved Guardrails — Guardrail metric definitions have been streamlined. Thresholds can now be specified for when Warehouse Optimization should back off, based on:
    • Queued Queries — Warehouse Optimization backs off when the number of queued queries exceeds the backoff threshold at any point. Previously, backoff only occurred if the average number of queued queries in a 15-minute interval exceeded the threshold.
    • Queue Time — Warehouse Optimization backs off if a single query is in a queue longer than the backoff threshold. Previously, backoff only occurred if the average queue time among all queries exceeded the threshold.
    • Max Latency — Warehouse Optimization backs off if the latency of one query exceeds the backoff threshold. Previously, backoff only occurred if the average latency among all queries exceeded the threshold.
    • Defaults — Default guardrail values have changed to ensure Warehouse Optimization continues to operate as it did before these changes.

October 2025

Warehouse Optimization for Snowflake

  • Default Warehouse Bug — Fixed a bug where editing a warehouse changed its default size to UNSPECIFIED. The default size now remains unchanged unless explicitly modified.
  • RL Model Improvements — Improved RL model training to only use data from warehouses currently enabled for RL. Previously, data from non-trained warehouses would confuse the model.

September 2025

Warehouse Optimization for Snowflake

  • Validation Bug — Fixed an issue where a confusing error message appeared when Keebo was unable to validate an account.
  • Onboarding SQL Code Misaligned — Fixed an issue where SQL code generated during onboarding was misaligned.
  • RL Rollout Finished — All customer warehouses are now optimized by the newest RL optimization models.
  • Slider Improvements — Moving the slider to make the RL downsizing model less aggressive now immediately stops optimizations, providing immediate performance improvements. Optimizations resume the next day once the model is retrained with lower aggressiveness. Moving the slider to increase aggressiveness does not stop optimizations. The model is retrained with greater aggressiveness, and changes take effect the next day.

Warehouse Optimization for Databricks

  • Query Queue Check — A new check ensures a warehouse is not experiencing query queueing before it is downsized. If a warehouse has any queued queries, Warehouse Optimization does not downsize.

August 2025

Keebo Platform

  • SSO Documentation — The Keebo platform documentation now provides instructions for configuring SSO.
  • Customer Subscriptions — The Billing page displays the newest customer subscriptions first.

Warehouse Optimization for Snowflake

  • Performance Improvement When Registering Warehouses — Caching the permissions granted to KEEBO_ROLE enhances performance during warehouse registration, leading to quicker onboarding times.
  • Optimization Page Visualizations Show Timezone in Tooltips — The Optimization page now shows UTC timezone on tooltips for visualizations with a time axis.

Workload Intelligence for Snowflake

  • Download Query Migration Recommendations — Query migration recommendations can now be downloaded in CSV format for each warehouse via the user interface.

Warehouse Optimization for Databricks

  • Private Preview — Warehouse Optimization for Databricks is in private preview. The system now optimizes idle time using an auto-stop warehouse parameter optimization algorithm and calculates savings from performed optimizations.
  • Security Documentation — Security documentation for Warehouse Optimization for Databricks is now available.

July 2025

Warehouse Optimization for Snowflake

  • Adding New Warehouses Issue — Fixed an issue where adding new warehouses would occasionally time out, causing a confusing error message.

June 2025

Warehouse Optimization for Snowflake

  • "Keep Optimizing" Is Now the Default — All new warehouses added to Warehouse Optimization continue to be optimized after outside changes by default. Existing warehouse settings are unaffected. Setting "Keep Optimizing" on all existing warehouses is recommended to maximize savings.
  • Savings Calculations Accurately Reflect External Changes — Savings calculations identify every change made by non-Keebo Snowflake users and, if the "Keep Optimizing" setting is on, accurately determine Keebo-driven savings.
  • Login Bug — Fixed an issue where all users were required to repeatedly log in to the Keebo portal every few hours.
  • Change Detection Bug — Fixed an issue where the change detection process did not work on warehouses without cluster count.
  • Linear Growth Projection Bug — Fixed an issue where the linear growth projection was temporarily inaccurate.
  • Resolved UI Issues — Fixed issues with filters locking for 30 seconds when changing date ranges, and random font changes.

Workload Intelligence for Snowflake

  • Missing Data Bug — Fixed an issue where data was missing from the overall spend dashboard in Workload Intelligence.

May 2025

Keebo Platform

  • Read-Only Role Provides Access to Workload Intelligence — Users with the Read-Only role now have access to Workload Intelligence.

Warehouse Optimization for Snowflake

  • Warehouse API — A public API enables programmatic enabling, disabling, or disconnecting of onboarded warehouses. Contact the product team for access.
  • Multiple Accounts Full Availability — All customers and prospects can now add multiple Snowflake accounts to Warehouse Optimization.

Workload Intelligence for Snowflake
