September 2026​

Warehouse Optimization for Snowflake​

  • Query Spillage and Queueing Charts (GA) — Query spillage and queueing latency charts are now generally available, giving teams a per-warehouse view of performance alongside cost. Data can be exported to CSV for further analysis.
  • Next-Generation Multi-Cluster Optimization (Private Beta) — A new Warehouse Performance page, available from the main navigation, includes custom policies, testing against historical data, hourly grading, and a full audit trail of every change. Keebo adds clusters only when the queue is genuinely falling behind, cutting spend on short-lived clusters without sacrificing performance.

Warehouse Optimization for Databricks (Public Beta)​

  • Keep Optimizing for Databricks — Warehouses can now continue to be optimized after outside configuration changes, bringing the same savings protection available for Snowflake to Databricks.
  • Enhanced Billing — Organizations using Keebo for Databricks can now view billing directly in the Keebo platform UI, with savings reported in DBUs.

  • Automatic Idle Sign-Out — Portal sessions now end after 60 minutes of inactivity for added account security. Organization admins can adjust the timeout in Settings.

Warehouse Optimization for Snowflake​

  • Least-Privilege Onboarding — The onboarding wizard now generates a setup script that grants Keebo only the privileges it actually uses: USAGE and CREATE PROCEDURE on the Keebo schema, and SELECT on the three metadata views, in place of GRANT ALL on both. Security teams get a tighter, easier-to-approve footprint from day one.
  • Programmatic Access Token Authentication (GA) — Snowflake accounts can now connect using a Programmatic Access Token, available during onboarding and in Advanced Settings alongside existing authentication methods.

  • Snowflake Gen2 Warehouse Support — Keebo automatically detects when a warehouse moves between Gen1 and Gen2 and adjusts optimization immediately, pausing or continuing based on each warehouse's configuration. Every transition is recorded in the Audit Log for a complete, traceable history. Savings and spend calculations apply Gen2 pricing automatically, so financial reports reflect true costs as warehouses migrate, with no manual adjustment required.
  • Programmatic Access Token Authentication (Private Beta) — Snowflake accounts can now connect using a Programmatic Access Token, available during onboarding and in Advanced Settings alongside existing authentication methods.

  • Editable Warehouse Settings — Adjust baseline size, auto-stop timeout, and cluster count limits directly in Keebo, without switching to the Databricks console.
  • Service Principal Expiry Alerts — Email and in-app notifications are sent before a Databricks Service Principal expires, preventing silent authorization failures when credentials expire.

  • Network Security Controls — A new Network Security tab under General Settings supports IP allowlisting with CIDR-range management, with separate controls for portal access, API access, or both.

  • Guided Onboarding for New Accounts — Adding a Databricks account from the Settings page now opens the full onboarding wizard rather than a single dialog, ensuring each account goes through the complete connection and validation flow.
  • Duplicate Warehouse Prevention — The add-warehouse dialog now checks for existing registrations and requires verification before enabling the add action, preventing silent duplicates and surfacing verification status before confirmation.
  • Self-Service Schema and Catalog Editing — The schema and catalog name for a Databricks account can now be edited from the Settings dialog without requiring help from Keebo support.
  • Specific Permission Error Messages — Warehouse validation now pinpoints the exact permission issue, making setup faster to troubleshoot.

Warehouse Optimization for Databricks (Public Beta)​

  • More Precise Savings Reporting — Savings percentages now measure only the warehouses and time periods where optimization was active, correcting underreporting in cases where optimization was enabled mid-period or not applied to all warehouses.
  • Private Link Support — Keebo now supports direct, private connectivity to Databricks workspaces via AWS PrivateLink, routing all network traffic over the cloud provider's private network instead of the public internet. A dedicated onboarding path includes built-in connectivity validation.
  • Streamlined First-Time Setup — Organizations with no accounts configured are presented with a direct prompt to begin the onboarding flow the first time they sign in.
  • Configurable Export Catalog — Keebo now resolves the export catalog from the configured location rather than a hardcoded default, supporting environments that use a non-standard catalog name.
  • Configuration Validation and Error Visibility — Advanced Settings now shows detailed status across all four configuration levels (service principal, schema, workspace, and warehouse) for fast diagnosis of permission or connectivity issues. Validation status updates automatically as issues are resolved.
  • Searchable Settings — Account and workspace dropdowns on the Settings page now support search, making it easier to navigate environments with many accounts or workspaces.
  • Overview Empty State — The Databricks Overview page now displays a clear empty state with setup guidance when an account exists but no workspaces or warehouses have been onboarded.

Keebo Platform​

  • SSO Login Method Control — Administrators can now specify which sign-in methods are permitted for each user, enabling enforcement of SSO-only login after SSO is configured for an organization.
  • Multi-Factor Authentication — TOTP-based multi-factor authentication is now available, allowing users to secure their accounts with an authenticator app.

  • Searchable Filters — Any filter with more than five options now includes search, built for environments with large numbers of warehouses.
  • Improved Warehouse Name Display — Long warehouse names display cleanly in filter lists.

  • More Responsive Guardrails — Guardrail metric definitions have been streamlined. Thresholds can now be specified for when Keebo Warehouse Optimization should back off, based on:
    • Queued Queries — Warehouse Optimization backs off when the number of queued queries exceeds the backoff threshold at any point. Previously, backoff only occurred if the average number of queued queries in a 15-minute interval exceeded the threshold.
    • Queue Time — Warehouse Optimization backs off if a single query is in a queue longer than the backoff threshold. Previously, backoff only occurred if the average queue time among all queries exceeded the threshold.
    • Max Latency — Warehouse Optimization backs off if the latency of one query exceeds the backoff threshold. Previously, backoff only occurred if the average latency among all queries exceeded the threshold.
    • Defaults — Default guardrail values have changed to ensure Warehouse Optimization continues to operate as it did before these changes.

  • Reinforcement Learning Model Training — Reinforcement learning (RL) models now train exclusively on data from RL-enabled warehouses, for more precise optimization.

  • More Accurate Savings Attribution — Savings calculations now account for external changes, and more accurately attribute Keebo-driven savings when “Keep Optimizing” is enabled.
  • Broader Change Detection — Change detection now supports warehouses without an assigned cluster count, for consistent behavior across every configuration.
