Warehouse Optimization for Databricks (Preview)​

  • Multi-Account Support — Implemented support for organizations managing multiple Databricks accounts.
  • Workspace and Warehouse Validation — Validation workflows verify workspace and warehouse access before enabling optimization.
  • Enhanced Guardrail Settings — The Guardrail editor now simplifies threshod adjustments and provides visual insights into their impact.
  • AutoGuard Mode — AutoGuard mode performs dynamic backoffs when query failures occur from large queries or warehouse downsizing.
  • Advanced Warehouse Settings UI — Keebo supports comprehensive configuration and management directly within the platform, including account principals, workspace verification, warehouse verification, and system catalog permissions.
  • Dashboard Filtering - Improved usage and savings dashboard filtering behavior for greater consistency.

Keebo Platform​

  • Authentication and Security — SSO auto-linking now enables existing email/password accounts to link their SSO provider to the same account, eliminating account conflicts and supporting multiple authentication methods.
  • SSO Password Management — Improved password change functionality for accounts with both email/password and SSO credentials.

Warehouse Optimization for Databricks (Preview)​

  • New Settings UI — Keebo now supports managing Databricks warehouses and workspaces directly. The Settings page includes modals for adding workspaces and warehouses, per-warehouse enable/disable toggles, optimization aggressiveness sliders, sortable and paginated warehouse lists, and icons indicating active optimizers on each warehouse.
  • Savings and Cost Calculation — Improved calculation accuracy for workspaces without attached warehouses.
  • Time Range Grouping - Improved alignment of savings charts, including weekly and monthly grouping.

  • Performance Guardrails — New performance guardrails are now enabled by default for all customers and active trials.

Warehouse Optimization for Databricks (Preview)​

  • Overview Dashboard — Warehouse Optimization for Databricks now includes a user interface. The overview page displays spend and Keebo-attributed savings for each warehouse.
  • Read-Only Settings Page — Includes a read-only settings page displaying applied configurations for each warehouse. Contact Keebo Support to modify these settings.

December 2025​

Warehouse Optimization for Snowflake​

  • Improved Filters — A search bar now appears for all filters with more than five options, supporting environments with large numbers of warehouses.
  • Warehouse Name Display — Improved display of long warehouse names in filter lists.
  • Guardrail Defaults — New warehouses are initialized with default guardrail values.
  • Filter Selection Behavior — Select/deselect all now applies only to items matching the current search criteria.

  • Databricks Downsizing Behavior — Improved handling of downsizing events and system responses.

Warehouse Optimization for Snowflake​

  • Improved Guardrails — Guardrail metric definitions have been streamlined. Thresholds can now be specified for when Warehouse Optimization should back off, based on:
    • Queued Queries — Warehouse Optimization backs off when the number of queued queries exceeds the backoff threshold at any point. Previously, backoff only occurred if the average number of queued queries in a 15-minute interval exceeded the threshold.
    • Queue Time — Warehouse Optimization backs off if a single query is in a queue longer than the backoff threshold. Previously, backoff only occurred if the average queue time among all queries exceeded the threshold.
    • Max Latency — Warehouse Optimization backs off if the latency of one query exceeds the backoff threshold. Previously, backoff only occurred if the average latency among all queries exceeded the threshold.
    • Defaults — Default guardrail values have changed to ensure Warehouse Optimization continues to operate as it did before these changes.

October 2025​

  • Reinforcement Learning (RL) Model Training — Improved model training to use data only from warehouses enabled for RL.
  • Default Warehouse Behavior — Editing a warehouse no longer changes its default size unless explicitly modified.

  • New Downsizing Algorithm Rollout — All customer warehouses are now optimized by the latest reinforcement learning models.
  • Optimization Controls — Improved responsiveness of the optimization slider, with downsizing model retraining applied on the next cycle.
  • Validation Messaging — Improved clarity of validation messages when account validation is unsuccessful.
  • Onboarding SQL Code — Improved alignment and formatting of generated SQL during onboarding.

  • Download Query Migration Recommendations — Recommendations can now be exported in CSV format per warehouse.

  • Adding New Warehouses Issue — Fixed an issue where adding new warehouses would occasionally time out, causing a confusing error message.

Warehouse Optimization for Snowflake​

  • “Keep Optimizing” Default — All new warehouses added continue to be optimized after outside changes by default. Existing warehouse settings are unaffected. Setting "Keep Optimizing" on all existing warehouses is recommended to maximize savings.
  • Savings Calculations — Savings calculations now account for external changes, and more accurately attribute Keebo-driven savings when “Keep Optimizing” is enabled.
  • Change Detection — Improved the change detection process to support warehouses without an assigned cluster count, ensuring consistent behavior across all configurations.
  • Linear Growth Projections — Refined the linear growth projection algorithm to ensure higher precision and more reliable forecasting accuracy.
  • Dashboard Experience — Improved interface responsiveness and consistency by optimizing filter processing speeds.

  • Login Behavior — Improved user login handling to extend session duration and minimize the frequency of re-authentication prompts.

  • Warehouse API — A public API enables programmatic enabling, disabling, or disconnecting of onboarded warehouses. Contact the product team for access.
  • Self-Service Multi-Account Optimization — All customers can now independently connect and analyze multiple Snowflake accounts within a single Warehouse Optimization tenant, without manual support intervention.

Workload Intelligence for Snowflake​

  • Credit Limit — Workload Intelligence now uses a Snowflake resource monitor to limit daily credit usage.
  • Data Health Download Limit Increased — The CSV download limit has increased to 10,000 rows.
  • Error Visibility — Dashboard and settings errors are now surfaced in the UI to support investigation and resolution.
  • Self-Service Multi-Account Management — All customers can now independently connectmultiple Snowflake accounts within a single Workload Intelligence tenant, without manual support intervention.
